 As inventor of the Safety Bath and President of Safety Bath Inc., I take pleasure in introducing you to our accessible bathing products.
The story of our company begins back in 1990 when I began a search for a bathtub that would make it possible for my Dad, Nicholas, to enjoy a safe bath. My Dad was a big man and with age and knee problems he was finding it increasingly difficult to have a bath. Finding nothing on the market that would be of help to him, and being somewhat of an entrepreneur and inventor myself, I decided that I would make a bathtub with a door. The bathtub proved to be exactly what my Dad needed… a bathtub that allowed him to bathe independently and safely, in privacy and with dignity.
Soon others heard about the walk in bathtub and saw how it could also serve their needs so in 1992 I began the company Safety Bath Hydrotherapy Systems Inc. Since that time,our company, Safety Bath Inc., has been progressively dedicated to making life better for those who experience difficulty accessing a regular bathtub.
Over the years we have developed new and innovative products that would serve the needs of other groups. The Supreme was created for the care home/assisted living market; the So-Lo and So-Lo with Shower Deck were developed to provide baby boomers with a way to adapt to their changing needs. To accommodate those who wanted to convert their existing bathtub into a bathtub with a door, Safety Bath Inc. created the Door Insert Kit.
